Prince of Winter – Fairy Tarot

Welcome to the Card of the Week for Monday the 25th of November 2024 where the Prince of Winter has tobogganed forth at a rapid pace from the Fairy Tarot by Radleigh Valentine. Interestingly enough, this is flying in the face a bit of what actions need to be taken given that today is the beginning of Mercury Retrograde which will last to 15th of December.

A choice being made hastily without the fine print being reviewed can end up being quite costly with lasting consequences that are, more often than not, unseen. This is something that this card, of which is aligned to the Knight of Swords in traditional Tarot, often highlights when it presents itself.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves steadfast and headstrong in a goal or mission that we have in mind. In times like this we can often not see where we are going and do not pay attention to that which is around us and, it is in these times, we may end up hitting a snag -or a rock under the snow. In this instance, Mercury Retrograde has the potential to add quite a few.

Communication is something that is notorious for going awry during such a celestial event and this card highlights the need to dot every ‘i’ and cross every ‘t’ while reviewing everything in a decisive and concise manner. Sure, such a card as the Prince of Winter calls for swift action, but at what cost?

To bring this all together, there is a distinct need to be cautious with agreements being made and contracts being signed. Plus, if there is technology like computer systems involved, plan ahead and make a backup of things as files tend to become lost or corrupt during such a time. So take things with a grain of salt as you go about this time with the guidance you may receive from various sources – even from your friendly neighbourhood (or internet) card reader.
