Honesty is the Best Policy in Business

Eight of Coins – Vlad Dracula Tarot

Welcome to the Card of the Week for Monday the 11th of November 2024 where we have a repeating card once more, just from a different deck this time. Indeed, while this card is the Eight of Coins from the Vlad Dracula Tarot by Travis McHenry while the past card was the Eight of Disk was from the Necronomicon Tarot by Donald Tyson back on the 9th of September 2024.

Though both cards are aligned to the traditional Eight of Pentacles, the energy of these two cards are similar yet very different. While the Eight of Disks focused on hard work, the Eight of Coins shown here speaks of honesty above all else – particularly in the ways of doing business. After all, nothing destroys relationships – both professional and personal – like financial dishonesty. 

So often we read about or see news stories regarding people and businesses who are doing the dodge. From not paying taxes to under paying staff to selling inferior or unsafe products – the list goes on. It is in this that you have a choice to make: Do you support these people and businesses? Or do you go to those with more honest business practices?

In reality, there may not always be a choice if you are either not informed or you live in a small area where there are limited opportunities, so it is best to do what you can to remain honest yourself and discern the truth as best you can. Should you run a business yourself, it might be a good time to look at your own practices and how you do business. 

Some may say that business is just business, but maybe bringing in a view that revolves around honesty being the best policy will help shift the dynamics of business in general. Indeed, perhaps it is time for you to be the change you are seeking in the world and lead by example.

To bring this all together, it appears that it is time to start shifting the energy of deceit to that of honesty. Even small acts of honesty can make a difference in the world. Keep in mind, however, should you choose to take on the ideals of honesty in business, you open yourself up to scrutiny in many areas of life. So, tread with caution should you choose to follow this guidance to the letter.
