Is it Worth the Cost?

Is it Worth the Cost

Knight of Swords – Egyptian Tarot

Welcome to the Card of the Week for Monday the 9th of December 2024 where the Knight of Swords comes galloping forward from the Egyptian Tarot. A card like this shows that it is a time of action and getting things done at a rapid pace, but a key takeaway is that you need to consider the cost of this.

As we head into the silly season, it is often a time of people rushing around like a bunch of headless chooks trying to get a million things organised before the main part of the holidays. Much like the Knight of Swords, we all seem to run about without prior planning and end up inevitably burning out.

So in some ways this is a sign to avoid the burn out by planning ahead as best you can before you venture out to tackle the crowds. However, if this is not possible, what will be needed is tact and decisive action so that any obstacles can be navigated with relative ease.

On the flip side of this, card indicates a fiery energy that can take over and cause more issues than before as it feeds on the energy of chaos – a lot like a young knight charging into battle. This speaks of people who are young and impatient or people who enjoy creating dramas in the family life. So these people may well make an appearance soon as the family begins to gather.

To bring this all together, like all family gatherings, there is a need to be ready for the entertainment and to be ready to use tact in order to overcome the dramas that may well ensue. Is the cost of dealing with such issues worth the time and energy spent at this time of year? If not, it might be time to consider the emotional well-being of those involved.
