Stop, Look, Listen
Observation – Urban Crow Oracle
Welcome to the Card of the Week for Monday the 30th of September 2024 where the Observation card flies forth from the Urban Crow Oracle by MJ Cullinane. This card is indicating that it is time to do what we have been taught about crossing any road: ‘Stop. Look. Listen.’ After all, now is the time where you want to be the crow and fly forth with ease, not the chicken crossing the road.
In the card before you, you can see that the crow is observing a potentially tasty meal – that is the spider. The crow’s head s cocked to the side so that it can gain a view of the situation from all angles and potential perspectives. What tasty meal – or objective – are you looking at in this moment? Is it ready for the taking? Or do you have the opportunity to learn and gain a lot more than if you were to just pluck it in the now?
The mentioning of the chicken who crossed the road has a high level of poignance at this time as, unlike the crow watching the spider, chickens have the ability to use each eye independently. As one eye is near sighted and the other far sighted, they can look at everything that is going on before them as well as in the distance which allows them to look for danger while looking for food. All the while, the crow, much like yourself in this instance, needs to look at what is going on with utmost concentration lest any details be missed.
To bring this all together, stopping, looking, and listening is your power at this time as you can take your time to gather all information and process it properly. As you do so, you will find the answers that you seek and more of which will lead to greater outcomes than you originally perceived. Of course, though, it is important to act on this new information with a level of tact as those around you might not always agree with your findings – no matter how much evidence you provide.
You can book a reading with me utilising the Urban Crow Oracle for further guidance on the journey here.
